SoundSkrit Firefly Prototype Microphone Testing

One of our guest speakers, Sahil Gupta, the Founder and VP of Product for SoundSkrit, allowed me to test their prototype Firefly microphone.

This microphone is based on MEMS technology but has directionality unlike other MEMS mics. They developed this product for creators to easily increase the quality of their audio. The mic plugs directly into a phone or laptop and can be easily adjusted for gain.

Zachary Patchen, Aditya Jeganath Koothapakkam, and I tested the microphone by writing a short song and recording guitar, piano, and vocals with the microphone.

We had a great experience trying out this new product. I reported back to Sahil with constructive criticism, and he incorporated new changes to the prototype before launching their Kickstarter to fund the production of the Firefly.
